Aaliyah Dana Haughton and Aarti Mann

Aaliyah Dana Haaughton soared to prominence after the release of the album she dubbed Age Ain't Nothing but a Number in 1994. It was Gold in the year she turned 15 years old. It was made as part of a group that was greatly influenced by R. Kelly and it brought her into the spotlight. In the year 1996 Jermaine and Timbaland came out with Aaliyah's sophomore album One In A Million. It featured If Your Girls Only Knew, the top-selling single. Aaliyah achieved international recognition for her R&B singing through the release of this album. In 2000 she starred in the action and romance movie Romeo Must Die alongside martial artists Jet-Li. Joel Silver, the film producer, met her at the awards ceremony and kindly offered the role. In 2002, she was in the vampire movie Queen of the Damned based on the Anne Rice book. The Matrix Sequels saw her play Zee, after appearing as a character in The Matrix Reloaded (2003) as well as The Matrix Revolutions that same year. She received four Grammy nominations from 1999 to 2003. Aarti Mann.....................Aarti Mann also known as Aarti Majumdar is an American actor who is best known for her portrayal of Priya Koothrappali in the popular TV series The Big Bang Theory. She is the first generation Indian-American who was from Connecticut. Mann the stage name is an acronym for Mankad her surname when she married. However, she uses both Aarti Mann and Aarti Majumdar for professional name. Though she initially had tiny film and television parts, her acting career began growing in popularity around the turn of the century. In addition, she has appeared on Leverage, Suits, Grey's Anatomy as well as Grey's Anatomy. She has appeared in numerous commercials including Volvo's international car maker. She lives in Los Angeles where she continues to work as an actor.
