Jill AND Mary

Jillian Noel Shennessy, born 25th November, 1968 in Canada is a Canadian performer and actress that was recognized for her significant contributions for American television. Her name has been famous due to her portrayals in the roles of Claire Kincaid in Law & Order and Crossing Jordan. Hennessy is also known for her outstanding performances in RoboCop 3 Most Wanted. Other films are Chutney Popcorn (an independent film) and The Acting Class. Her acting career started in 1988, when she and her sister played twin characters in Dead Ringers. The actress starred as a character on Broadway as a part of the show Buddy The Buddy Holly Story in 1990. The Buddy Holly Story from 1990 and stepped into the realm of sci-fi in 1993, playing Dr. Marie Lazarus in RoboCop 3. In the fall of that year, she joined the crew of the NBC sensational crime drama Law & Order in the character of assistant district prosecutor Claire Kincaid. Her three-season stint in the character was well-loved by audiences. In 1996, she left the show. Parker was in movies and television shows like RED Fried Green Tomatoes Boys on the Side The West Wing Angels in America for which she received the Golden Globe and an Emmy Award for the best supporting actress. Parker also won the Tony Award for Best Actress 2001 for her performance in the Broadway show Proof.
